A calm bay opens before a tree-lined coast in “Alnor strand” by Stine Maj. Muted blue and grey-green tones shape the water, while a pale beach follows the right side and curves into the distance. Two rows of dark stones extend from the shore into the water, creating distinct horizontal passages.
Along the coast, the treetops alternate between pale blue-green areas and deep, almost black tones. Individual trunks and small suggestions of buildings emerge among the vegetation. A broad, pale grey sky rests above the landscape, with visible brushmarks and gentle shifts of colour.
The restrained palette gives the scene a quiet character, while broken reflections and varied tree shapes bring it to life. The title connects the view to Alnor Strand, interpreted through loose brushstrokes and simplified details. The wide 140 × 80 cm format emphasises the bay’s open space and the shoreline’s sweeping movement across the painting.
