Turquoise and deep petrol-blue strokes break through pale pink, cream and golden-yellow areas in “Speedbåden” by Randi Rosa. Warm orange fields gather on the right, while dark brown and almost black passages add depth around the cooler colours. The composition moves between broad horizontal gestures and long trails of colour descending through the painting.
A bold blue-green curve sweeps across the upper right, while broken brushstrokes and overlapping layers create a denser passage through the centre. Pale pink and white drips fall over the orange areas. Fine lines and irregular textures add detail to an abstract subject with distinct changes in direction and pace.
Randi Rosa accompanies the work with a story about a speedboat where carefully considered decisions and caution are washed overboard. The colours shout over one another, the brushstrokes struggle to keep up, and logic remains on the quay with a life jacket and advice that nobody can hear. The speedboat is never found, but a painting emerges instead. The story gives the movement in the work a humorous connection to letting spontaneity take the helm.

- Original acrylic painting on canvas by Randi Rosa.
- Painted black on the edges, and looks perfect without frame.
Randi Rosa
