Randi Rosa (born 1967)

I have been working with visual arts since 2019 and have continuously taken courses to have the basic principles and techniques in place. Otherwise, my approach is very simple: I play my way through the process – and I will continue to do so.

My abstract paintings are never planned in advance. They arise in a free, curious and often quite unpredictable process, where I experiment with colors, shapes and materials through many layers. I never start with a solution, and that is exactly what makes it fun. It gives room for mistakes, surprises and spontaneous ideas. In fact, it is often in the unexpected that the most interesting things happen.

I love trying new paths, and my art is therefore always in motion. New techniques and quirky ideas are constantly finding their way into my studio. Although the expression on the canvas changes, the common thread is always visible – it is driven by the things I like, my penchant for adventure and a good dose of humor.

When a painting is finished, I go exploring. Each title therefore comes with a little story – a kind of modern fable with a humorous twinkle in the eye. The story is my take on the mood or situation I see in the picture. From there, it is entirely up to you whether you want to expand on my story or invent a fairy tale of your own.

A certificate of authenticity is attached to the back of the paintings, as well as the little fable.
