BIOGRAFI: ANDREA BENETTI

Andrea Benetti blev født i 1964 og skabte og udarbejdede "Manifestet for Neo-Cave Art" præsenteret på den 53. Venedig Biennale, i pavillonen kaldet "Nature and Dreams", placeret på Ca 'Foscari University.

Konceptuelt er Manifestet inspireret af kunstens tilblivelse. I sine værker citerer, forvandler, spiller, genopfinder Andrea Benetti koncepter og former for hulemaleri og skaber en ideel bro mellem kunstens tilblivelse og dens samtid.

Han har samarbejdet og samarbejder stadig om realisering af projekter med forskellige italienske og udenlandske universiteter, herunder Johns Hopkins University, University of Bologna, Ferrara, Roma Tre, Lecce, Bergamo, Bari.

Disse universiteter har forsket i hans kunst. Benettis værker findes i samlinger over hele verden. Ud over museerne for samtidskunst i Italien og i udlandet og prestigefyldte private samlinger, herunder FN, er hans værker til stede i Quirinale (sædet for den italienske republiks præsident), i det italienske parlament, i Vatikanet, i forskellige ambassader.

Af denne grund blev han modtaget på Quirinale (sædet for den italienske republiks præsident), i deputeretkammeret (det italienske parlament) og i Vatikanet, hvor han mødte pave Benedikt XVI og pave Frans.

Der er snesevis af universitetsprofessorer og vigtige kunstkritikere, som har skrevet om Benettis kunst og har deltaget i de projekter, som den italienske maler har skabt. I flere år har det encyklopædiske opslag "Andrea Benetti" været til stede i Treccani (den vigtigste italienske encyklopædi) og er oversat til tredive sprog på Wikipedia.

I 2020 blev Benetti tildelt den 49. "Nettuno d'Oro"-pris, den længstvarende og mest prestigefyldte årlige kunstneriske pris i byen Bologna.
