A stylised cowgirl holds a golden rope leading to a ringed planet in “Space Cowgirl” by Lin Jürs. The figure stands against a deep blue-violet background filled with white and golden stars. A broad brown cowboy hat and long, wavy hair frame a face divided into angular fields, with striking eyes, pink lips and strong black outlines.
The burgundy western shirt is decorated with pale patterns and long, pale blue fringe. A golden star earring, a large belt buckle and light blue trousers complete the outfit. The rope travels from a loose loop near the lower edge, through the raised hand and up to the planet, giving the familiar western figure an unexpected cosmic twist.
The encounter between cowgirl and star-filled sky may evoke adventure, freedom and the desire to explore unfamiliar territory. The ringed planet appears almost as part of the figure’s equipment, blurring the boundary between everyday objects and fantasy. The vertical 70 × 90 cm format emphasises the figure’s pose and the rope’s long, winding path.
