Golden-yellow and orange strokes glow among deep blue and green fields in “Golden Horizon” by Sergei Inkatov. The warm colours form a slanting passage through the left side, while white, grey and pale mint strokes unfold towards the right. A smaller red and orange area below provides a vivid counterpoint to the cooler shades.
Broad, curved brushstrokes frame a dense gathering of angular forms near the centre. Here, fine dark lines cross pale rectangular fields that may suggest fragments of façades or windows. Distinct grooves and broken impressions in the paint give the surface variety, emphasising the contrast between sweeping movements and small details.
The title may evoke warm light in the distance, yet the horizon is not presented as a calm horizontal line. Instead, diagonals and contrasting colours create a sense of shifting space and movement. The horizontal 80 × 60 cm format accommodates both the darker passages and the lighter, more open areas.
