A flowering meadow opens towards a blue bay in “A trip to the beach” by Malgorzata Alicja Pedersen. Red and orange poppy-like flowers stand among white flower heads and small blue and yellow accents in the foreground. Beyond them, broad areas of sandy yellow, ochre and soft lilac lead the eye towards the water.
Green hills frame the bay on either side, with tiny sails visible in the distance. The pale sky and calm blue water create breathing space above the richly detailed meadow. Fine floral marks alternate with broad, soft brushstrokes, bringing the foreground to life while allowing the landscape to open beyond it.
The scene brings together the pleasures of a trip to the beach: flowers close at hand, warm coastal colours and an open view across the water. The wide 120 × 75 cm format emphasises the panorama and offers space to explore the meadow’s many small details.
