Deep blue and turquoise colours open a winding passage through green and golden forms in “Natural flow” by Birthe Villaume. Above, a pale grey-blue field spreads over darker areas that may suggest distant heights or dense vegetation. Small red and orange marks glow among the cool shades.
Long, vertical strokes shape both sides of the painting, while rounded forms gather in the lower half. On the left, a blue arc frames a green field, and near the centre an ochre edge follows a larger rounded shape. Fine dark lines and slender pale marks run through the broad fields of colour, connecting the composition’s different movements.
The title may invite the viewer to follow a flow between vertical, winding and circular forms. The subject remains abstract, though it may evoke water, vegetation and the changing shapes of nature. The tall 100 × 140 cm format allows movement from the rounded foreground forms through the blue centre towards the pale opening above.
