A deep blue-violet space opens between red and golden passages in “Blue storm” by Charlotte Olsen. Above, a broad red band moves diagonally through the painting, accompanied by pale gold-coloured shapes and small turquoise accents. Below, golden, bronze-like and near-black shades gather into a dense, undulating passage.
The edges of the colours fold and branch into fine lines, pointed extensions and soft, marbled patterns. Red accents emerge along the lower band, while the larger blue field at the centre provides a quieter counterbalance to the intricate details. Towards the bottom, the composition gives way to a deep, near-black area.
The title may invite the viewer to experience these movements as a storm, with currents gathering and breaking around a dark centre. The subject remains abstract and might also suggest waves, flames or moving clouds. The vertical 38 × 50 cm format emphasises the tension between the two colourful passages and the open blue space between them.
