A red-and-cream carousel canopy spreads above two geometric faces in “Everybody Welcome” by Lin Jürs. A purple sign bearing the word “WELCOME” sits at the centre, surrounded by pale dots, while small bunting flags and a Danish flag crown the scene. The dark grey background, patterned with pale vertical marks and dots, makes the bright colours stand out.
The two figures wear pink and pale blue headwear, each topped with a small hat. Their faces are constructed from angular fields of warm and dark tones, with large eyes and colourful details around the mouths. A white flower beside the left figure provides a soft contrast to the sharp outlines.
A horse, crocodile, lion and camel are among the small creatures arranged along the carousel’s striped poles. These details give the painting a playful narrative, while the title and welcome sign may suggest community and room for difference. The 72 × 92 cm format brings the portraits and carousel details together in a colourful composition.
