The mood of the artwork:

Warm terracotta, red and ochre-yellow fields meet broad white strokes and deep blue tones in “19-26” by Karl Hedeager Madsen. A large red-orange area fills the upper left, while a vivid red cluster emerges further down on the right. Dark brown and navy passages frame the lighter forms and give the composition depth.

White and pale grey brushstrokes move diagonally through the upper half. Around the centre, narrow dark blue and brown passages intersect, connecting the larger fields of colour. Below, two broad, pale areas open between the earth tones, while visible brushmarks and irregular edges preserve a sense of movement across the surface.

The subject remains abstract, though the crossing forms may evoke branches, rock formations or fragments of a landscape. White fields create pauses among the warm colours, while blue strokes introduce cooler contrasts. The vertical 90 × 120 cm format offers space to follow the movements from the large colour fields towards the denser intersections at the centre. The numbered title leaves interpretation open.
