Det begyndte med en usædvanligt effektiv og pligtopfyldende neongrøn overstregningspen. At den blev tabt i skoven i revisorens frokostpause, er egentlig ligegyldigt. For pennen holdt aldrig fri.Da den vågnede i skovbunden, gik den i panik over det organiske kaos. Den begyndte febrilsk at overstrege alt, den fandt vigtigt: mosset, en klynge svampe, og det lysglimt, der ramte skovbunden. Den organiserede, kategoriserede, effektiviserede og strukturerede.Inden solnedgang var skoven forvandlet til et gigantisk Excel-ark. Myrerne var blevet inddelt i debitorer og kreditorer, uglen udnævnt til HR-chef (alene fordi den så klog ud), og træerne måtte kun tabe deres blade i overensstemmelse med årsbudgettet. Alt var på plads.Men næste morgen havde duggen slettet alle formler. Skoven var præcis lige så vild og mystisk som før, og den lille, trætte pen måtte starte helt forfra." Randi Rosa
